A long-time resident of Pomona, Jacqueline “Jacky” Elizalde embodies the heart and resilience of the people she proudly calls neighbors. As a devoted mother, a fierce human rights advocate, a strong labor leader and a public servant with decades of experience, she brings both compassion and deep-rooted knowledge to the table.
For over a decade, she served on local city commissions, and currently serving on the Citizens Oversight Committee at Mt. San Antonio Community College, amplifying the voices of everyday residents. She previously worked as a District Representative for the United States Congress, an influential role that has given her firsthand insight into the inner workings of government and the power of effective policy.
As a strong supporter of unions, one of her goals is to continue elevating unions by creating opportunities that strengthen careers, support families, and boost our
local economy.
With years of community involvement, she has served and devoted her life standing up for families, taking on tough issues, and earning the trust of the community.
Jacky tackles issues others overlook and has led grassroots efforts to improve public safety, including standing up against human trafficking in our community.
She is committed to staying proactive, putting Pomona families first, supporting affordable housing, expanding after-school and recreation programs for our kids, attracting businesses that create local jobs, and building strong partnerships that help our city thrive.
